Egypt has launched several counteroffensives against Westafrika in the following hours of the war breaking out. [Initial Retaliation] The Egyptian Army takes pity at the Westafrikan offensive, 15,000 men over hundreds of miles of frontline. If the enemy is spread out for coverage, sharpshooters could easily render the offense halted, if the enemy is in clumped groups for strength, air strikes would decimate enemy forces with precise bombardment and Egyptian infantry would discretely slip through gaps in the enemy's line and run ambushes on their flanks. With artillery fire, the enemy is merely wasting shells and manpower, with no clear fortifications, military bases, or troop formations to actually fire at. In response to enemy armored assaults, infantry held AT weaponry, such as recoilless rifles, AT rifles, and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs). The armored advance is pointless, as there is no clear "line" to break through, it is merely putting expensive machinery out in the open to be shot at. [Counteroffensives] With the offensive most likely being butchered, Egypt would launch a mechanized offensive supported by aircraft and armor. APCs would tear apart enemy infantry out in the open of their backline before dropping our own infantry to finish off any resistance and to secure the area. Armor units would support the mechanized troops via heavy fire support as well as destroying enemy tanks. Aircraft would strafe any enemy aircraft (if they have any) and provide bombardment to soften the enemy line before an assault. Troops: ~60,000 Infantry ~4,000 APCs ~260 MBTs 12 Jets Additional 40,000 troops on the backline. [Production is Power] Egypt, only just barely setting down its war economy from fighting off Japan, can easily outproduce Westafrika, seeing as their entire nation is desert and do not have any major cities so far as I'm aware. Westafrika will likely not be able to keep up such a war for long. Westafrika likely has no industry whatsoever, a small population, and a weak economy from the region they encompass. [Logistics] Fighting a war in the Sahara is difficult, Egypt has ensured that their troops are getting sufficient supply with truck convoys escorted by Mobile SAMs. Egypt has ran air raids on enemy convoys and supply depots to halt their vehicles and starve out their troops. [Political Front] The Junta has called the Westafrikan government a "warmongering threat to the stability of Africa" and has claimed Egypt will not stop fighting until Westafrika has been completely annexed.
