I've seen tons of people on here leaving due to Scratch's recent TOS update regarding AI. A lot of people panicked because everyone thought it was going to train off of people's art. Now it's been cleared up that it's not using our art, but rather coding. I bet a lot of you are asking, "XPert, everyone else is leaving because of AI! Everyone else is unsharing their art or refusing to post it! Why aren't you taking down your art? Why aren't you leaving?" And to that I say: I'm stubborn. I'm not going to leave because of some stupid AI scare. Now don't get me wrong, I hate AI as much as the next person. I'm disgusted in my younger self for making "AI music" and whatnot. I wish I could undo that. But Scratch training off of literal KID'S art? I'm sorry, but I seriously don't see how training an AI off of inexperienced, unprofessional kids sketches is going to be useful to them. I highly doubt it's going to happen. As for the coding stealing? Sure, it's scummy, and it shouldn't be supported, but I’m not a coder. I'm not going to follow the crowd and leave just because of some supposed stupid update. Yes I do have socials offsite, but aside from Disc or Webtoon I never post on them. Maybe I will eventually, but for now I only ever really post stuff on Scratch because I've gotten used to it. It's hard for me to accept change. I will leave eventually. Not for the time being. Just can't be bothered. I'll likely leave once either the AI is put in place and it starts actually functioning on the site, or the new TR reboot becomes too much for Scratch despite all the censoring. I'm not trying to be a jerk about the whole situation, but honestly? I feel like it's laughable. If you want to find me offsite, my tag is ItsXPert or ItsXPert05. I do have DA as XPertFox1 but it's inactive and I don't think I'm ever going back to it.
