_~* Ivory Update *~_ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Intro ~ Ivory Arrived at Arrow-A a few months ago, but hasn't been ridden very much. When she arrived we gave her a little tour, and allowed her to get used to the barn. She wasn't to happy with moving in the first few weeks, so she only got bathed and cared for, riding was out of the question. Although after a month and a half of staying here, I decided she needed to start working. I decided I wanted Ivory to be specifically trained in XC, due to her love of jumping over the hay we would put in her pasture. I would put on her tack and put her on a lunge line every now and then to help her get used to the weight. And after two weeks of working on the lunge line, here we are training! [ paragraph included in all updates ] ~ ~ ~ Pasture ~ I slowly walked up to her pasture with her halter in my hand. She eyed the halter, but continued eating the hay. I opened the gate, stepped inside, then closed it behind me. I approached her and came up to the other side of the hay. I started walking around it to find that Ivory was also moving. I looked across the hay to see Ivory munching on her mid-day snack. I went in the other direction, but she moved so she was parallel again. "I can't play 'Ring-Around-The-Hay' all day Ivory!" I said to her, and she snorted at me in response. I narrowed my eyes at her, and kicked some hay. It got her attention, and I snuck around and slipped the halter on, catching her off-guard. "Ah-Ha! Got you." She swung her head around in disgust before I forced her to walk to the barn, she would constantly stop and throw a fit every few feet to show just how displeased she was. [ Eventually ] We made it to the cross ties. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I apologize, I got bored and stopped being detailed half-way through! I hope its still a nice update anyway!
