Tw for death, religion as an coping mechanism, war + losing body parts // Angelicstar had always been perfect, ever since birth. That's how she even got to where she was in the first place. Her father was the son of Oriolestar The Enlightened and known for his benevolence, so it surprised nobody when Gorgekestrel announced that one of the kits was favoured by the Stars above to the point of being renamed by Them. Sometimes, she wished that someone had told her that didn't mean that she couldn't act her age and spend time with her family, but Starclan's will mattered more than the foolish wants of a kit. Looking back, the Star-Crowned Sovereign couldn't help but scoff at her past self's stupidity. If she thought that kithood was horrible, then it was a prelude to the tragedy that was the rest of her life. Apprenticehood was awful. Her mentor, Mourningsigh, was apathetic at best and at worst downright mocking when it came to her grief at the death of two of her siblings, snapping at her whenever she wanted to confide in literally anyone. You'd think that meant that they were at the very least a capable mentor, but no. When she was given the rather ironic and stupid name Angelicflight and promoted to deputy not even a moon later, Angelicstar was barely competent enough to even deserve the suffix and had asked her grandfather to allow her more time as a -paw to make up for that. But Starclan knew best, and the prophecy mattered most. It was probably awful of her to smile when one of the other clans had declared war against Dawnclan, but she couldn't help but feel like it was the Stars proving her right. That Oriolestar was wrong and that he didn't know Their wants best. That joy didn't last long, not when it costed her her tail, her brother and one of her first kits, her precious Furledkit. Not when war lead to famine and plague and drought. Not when Oriolestar's apathy lead to Them taking back a life for every one of his blood that he didn't mourn. Especially not when she was made leader at 28 moons and more eyes were on her than ever thanks to /his/ arrogance. For someone so enlightened, it was ironic that his hubris would spell his death. Almost as ironic as Sparkpaw – one of the newer medicine apprentices – giving a prophecy spelling the death of so many cats including herself with a wording so eerily similar to the one from her birth. Angelicstar had tried her best to resolve the issue once she found what she deemed its cause – Vixenenmity, a she-cat from Jayclan who'd joined as an apprentice – by imprisoning the ichor stained she-cat and forcing her and the Sovereign's own kit to separate.
Rah I'm so mad about losing the save >:( i loved this clan so much! Anyways I don't think I'll ever finish this considering my track record, so uh ask for explanations and stuff if you want
