Um yea, so I’m still animating EP.8, and a random glitch along with it and here’s a big long text about it: Hello Scratch Team and Scratch Community, I would like to report a glitch that I have been experiencing in the Scratch editor when trying to import animation frames into a project. I am sharing this publicly so that other Scratchers can see the issue, and also in case anyone else has experienced the same problem. While working on my project, I tried importing animation frames into the costume editor. Normally, when you import multiple images, they appear as separate costumes that can be switched between to create an animation. However, when I attempt to import my animation frames, something unusual happens. As soon as I try to import the files, the page suddenly refreshes or restarts on its own. After the l page refreshes, the Scratch editor shows the “Loading Project” screen, which normally only appears for a few seconds while a project loads. At first, it looks like everything will return to normal and that the project will finish loading. However, instead of loading the project, the screen becomes stuck on the “Loading Project” message and never finishes loading. The editor does not open again, and the project cannot be accessed unless I refresh the page myself or reopen the project. When I do reload the page manually, the animation frames that I tried to import are not there. I have tried repeating this process multiple times to make sure it was not just a one-time issue. Each time I attempt to import the animation frames, the same thing happens: the page refreshes, the “Loading Project” screen appears, and then it stays stuck there instead of opening the editor. Because of this, it becomes very difficult to work on animations. Importing frames is a very common part of creating animated projects in Scratch, especially when a project uses many costumes to create smooth motion. Since the editor reloads and gets stuck every time I try to import, it prevents me from adding the animation frames that my project needs. I am not sure if this is a bug in the Scratch editor or if something else might be causing the page to reload unexpectedly. I am sharing this report so that the Scratch Team and other Scratchers are aware of the issue. If anyone else has experienced something similar, it would be helpful to know. If there is a workaround or something I might be doing incorrectly, I would really appreciate any advice. Otherwise, I hope this report helps bring attention to the problem so it can possibly be looked into. Thank you for reading, and thank you to the Scratch Team for all the work you do to keep Scratch running and improving.
