Hi, I'm Akaru. You may also know me as Chuuya or Jude. I go by he/him pronouns. I've been a member of DBD since August 2025 and a member of GWDFI from September 2023 to August 2025. My timezone is PST and I am 15 years old. I have experience in roles similar to management— I have been moderating a subreddit with over 9,000 members since November 2025 and I have been the main mod of multiple servers on disc for years. Additionally, when GWDFI had opened manager applications in March 2024, I was a very popular choice and over 20 people suggested me, though ultimately other (very good) candidates were chosen. I want to be a manager for DBD because I believe I would be a good manager who can help the studio, many people are familiar with me already and trust me, and I have wanted to be a manager for a while. I would be a good manager for DBD because I am very active and able to moderate, good at coordinating with others, and do not often panic when under pressure. Plus, a lot of people trust me on DBD. I also understand the responsibilities of the job and am usually able to de-escalate drama without showing my anger. Additionally, I try my best to respond to every vent or sunshine request that I can and be kind to people. Downsides to me being a manager are that I occasionally don't have the best mental health (but I only vent offsite) and tend to forget important things sometimes. I used to snap at people a bit when in a bad mood but I am actively working on not doing that. One idea I have for improving the studio is to have a private discussion among managers, maybe every month (or week, or two months, or whatever would be preferred), to give each other feedback— not in a rude or argumentative way, but rather to help each other improve at managing, which would improve the studio as a whole. My activity is probably a 9/10; I am active on Scratch almost every day at least twice a day. I am also usually very available (8/10), both on Scratch and my offsites. That’s all.
