Lore [so far] (i wanted to keep it liminal themed hehe) Deep within the M.E.G. Facility was a lab with people who studied the backrooms. A man named Anthony Smiley was one of them. This man was the most popular of all of the researchers, he was shy and kind and always had a smile that adorned his face, even when he was upset. He was also one of the most knowledgeable people there. One mission he was sent on was to a place barely known about that the scientists above called '!'. It was said to be one of the most dangerous backrooms places, but the scientists desperately needed research for it. No one wanted to go though. It was basically signing up for death. So Anthony offered to go, and went out by himself to research (with a camera on himself so the other researchers could see too). Everything was going smoothly, until it wasn't. Anthony was attacked by an entity and knocked unconscious. Thankfully since he had a camera on him the scientists were able to track down his body and bring him back (and another fortunate thing is that he was left untouched and intact). When he was brought back, the scientists scanned him in and found that he had been knocked out so hard that he had become unconscious, and his body was starting to fail him. The scientists liked Anthony, they didn't want to loose him and the knowledge he held, so they got an idea. They built an AI meant to help the researchers and plugged his brain (which they had carefully removed from his body) into the AI. After finding out that it worked, they soon built a physical body for him out of what they had (they didn't have enough scrap metal for his head so they ended up using a balloon from level ':)' instead lol). They imported his brain (which was already connected with wires and a chip that allowed him to access the web from any where) into the animatronic machinery and thus Mr. Smiley (named after him) was born :D After a while of being with the researchers, he was let out by himself to go explore to see what he would do. He wandered around a bit, confused where everyone went, and met an entity that attacked him and corrupted his hardware [thats why his arm is like that] and since then hes been traumatized and feels like theres things coming after him 24/7. [he has memory loss from the original incident that is why he had forgotten there were entities in the backrooms] [and without knowing he was healed a bit by https://toyhou.se/37534228.mr-number ,a teacher from level 18, who then sent him back to the researchers.] He keeps a knife and bandages [and plenty of other stuff around] with him, not only for the researchers, but also for himself. paranoid little chud its the 25th and i still think this guy is amazing (i cant use emojis sob) (other notes:) +The hand on his head is sentient! It is an entity itself and is partially the reason why he always feels paranoid +what would i use him for?: i actually have a liminal space/ backrooms story ive made and am working on with a friend and he'd be a semi main character in it that helps and survivors :D +If i don't win this guy?: that is a-okay with me!! ill just keep the lore and use it for a different guy! :] (might change it up a bit!)
