I've designed many Valkyries. In my mind, they're powerful half-winged-creature-half-human hybrids. Original, I know. The Valkyries are split into tribes. The larger, brawnier ones are Defenders. That's where you'll find Vortex. The quicker, smaller, lighter ones are Fliers. The children and flightless Valkyries are Gatherers. And of course, all of the different tribes hate each other. And of course Vortex falls in love with a Flier and everyone dies dramatically.
