LORE+ how she lost her tail Name: Cordless Nicknames: Cordy Pronouns: She/Her Species: Digital Cat / Tech Spirit Age: Unknown Height: About the size of a small house cat Cordless is a strange little digital cat-like creature with a monitor for a head. Nobody really knows where she originally came from, but most people think she formed from wandering code that slowly became self-aware inside old computers and network. HOW SHE LOST HER TAIL >-< Cordless didn’t always look like this. She originally had a normal tail, but it was ripped off in an accident she doesn’t like to talk about. After that, she replaced it with a power cord. The cord works as both a prosthetic and a way to recharge. She can plug into outlets or devices when she’s low on energy, though most of the time she just absorbs electricity from nearby electronics. Even though it’s mechanical, she can still move it like a normal tail. !!!!!!!!how she lost her TAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before Cordless lost her tail, she spent most of her time traveling through huge networks of computers and servers, exploring files and signals like tunnels. One time she wandered into a part of the network that felt… wrong. The signals there were distorted, full of corrupted data and broken code. It was like something had damaged the system itself. At first she thought it was just a bug or leftover files. But then something inside the corrupted network noticed her. The data around her started twisting and glitching. Pieces of code tried to pull her deeper into the broken system. Cordless panicked and tried to escape through the nearest signal line. Something grabbed her tail before she could leave. She managed to force herself out of the network, but whatever was holding her ripped her tail off in the process. When she reappeared in the real world, she was shaking, her screen full of static. Her tail was gone. Later she found a loose power cord and turned it into a replacement. Since then, Cordless avoids corrupted networks. Sometimes, though, when she travels through signals, her screen flickers for a second—like something on the other side is still trying to find her.
