It’s not very long, but it’s my first animation ive ever done 100% in scratch. I did the best i could. and i'm proud of what i've done with a tool i've never used for animation before. i mostly like doing body language & story stuff, not punches & swords, but i can try!!
time taken: idk, more than 3 hours i learned animating in scratch with 0 guides or AI. you can see some "learning a new tool" jank in some places like using the wrong sword, attempting (and failing) foreshortening, etc, & i've never done rigged 2D animation (i like the feeling of frame-by-frame, but it wasnt viable for this project.) but i feel proud of my first attempt at this. update 3/18/26 made some animation less jerky update 3/20/26 same as above, made shadow's arms more fluid, pan is thicker now Update 5/6/26 Polishing, updated animation, pan has expressions now, switched to the correct Sword Update 5/11/26 added a "running away" animation, smear frames, and extra effects. Update 5/12/26 removed copyrighted music
