Hey there, guys! I'm proud to show you something I have worked hard on for the past couple of days- Pokémon Battle Network! A mix of Mega Man Battle Network and Pokémon- Two video game series that I love! As always, press space to cycle through the drawings. I know they may not be great, mostly because this was my first time trying to draw these kind of characters, and the first batch of what I hope is a good chunk of characters. Either way, I hope you enjoy them! First, The lore: essentially, this is set within a alternate world of Pokémon, where instead of the iconic monsters existing in the real world, they exist within the internet! Set in a technologically advanced world, "Pocket Monsters" are essentially two things- either hyperintelligent AI programs that can fight, delete viruses, and help with everyday needs, or are viruses that, while less intelligent that their other counterparts, are still capable of fighting, and can ruin your devices all the same. They are known as "Navi" Pocket Monsters and "Virus" Pocket Monsters respectively. The data for Navi variants are found within a device known as a Pokeball- A small, electronic sphere that goes into a wrench-like device used to "Jack into" anything that contains a jack port, which essentially transports a Pocket Monster inside it. As for the viruses, they simply exist on the Internet and any digital world, eating data. They can also evolve into stronger forms if they eat enough! We set our story in Kanto, where we meet a few interesting people- Haruka: A 12-year-old sixth grader, the daughter of a famous scientist, and Eevee.Exe's Operator! She's ready to take on a challenge, and will jump into battle if needed. She and her Navi are the main characters. Eevee.exe: A unique Normal type Navi created with the sole intention of being adaptable to any situation. He is loyal to his friends and to Haruka, and will do his best to protect the weak. He has the ability to evolve into seven different forms. What are these forms, you ask? you'll just have to wait... His main attacks are: Swift- summoning star-like projectiles that hit the opponent Scratch- A basic scratching attack, Chips- Eevee relies on battle chips to do most of his attacks. Battle chips are dropped by Pocket Monsters, are randomly scattered across the world, and in stores. Honey: A 15-year old girl from a rich family who seems quite gentle and kind to the public, but is mostly spoiled and rude. What makes her different from other entitled kids is that she works for Team Rocket, An Evil organization that wishes to take over all the Pocket Monsters' minds and use them for world domination, and to create a new world. She however, is being manipulated by them- the real reason why she's doing this is because she wants to help her brother, who was bullied all his life by others because he was unable to defend himself, and despite her protecting him from them all, he wound up getting badly hurt from a fight- and even with the charges pressed on the other family, she wasn't satisfied. she's convinced that the new world Team Rocket promises will be one where her brother can be free from bullying. She also has a special connection with her Navi, Beedrill.exe. Beedrill.exe: A Poison/Bug type Navi. He was handmade specifically for Honey, and as such, is extremely loyal to her. A chivalrous and knightly character, he is willing to do whatever for "Queen Honey". He wears the Team Rocket Badge, but will take it off once He and Honey leaves. His attacks include: Drill Stinger- He tries to attack his opponent via drill, charging at them and flying back to his starting point. It's a piercing attack. Poison Jab- He appears in front of his enemy, and uses his poison coated fingers to inflict the poisoned status effect on his enemy. It goes away after 10 seconds. Weedles- summons two Weedle viruses to fight for him. Kakuna: He summons two cocoons that the enemy may not be able to penetrate. when they open, virtual bees will come out in a straight line, and the cocoon is destroyed. He can also destroy them by accident. This replaces Weedles when at low health. Fell Stinger- His final gambit- whenever he's at low health, he will try to attack with a powerful thrust from his Drill Stinger. It is strong and can Pierce through any shield, but can miss if the attacked is fast enough to dodge it. Replaces Poison jab when at low health. Drill Stinger Down- Sometimes, he will disappear and attack from under, breaking up to three panels that his target stands on. Chip info: Beedrill V1- summons a copy of Beedrill to use Drill Stinger on the line where the strongest enemy is. Has 60 power. Beedrill V2- Now summons two copies, each aimed at the two strongest enemies. If there is only one enemy, it goes in a random direction. Has 80 power. Beedrill V3- Three copies of Beedrill, now attacking all areas. Has 100 power. I hope you guys enjoyed! Feel free to ask questions if you want! I'll see you next time!
