At precisely 7:22pm March 11, 2031, a semi headed from Swzketz, bound for Novkow, exploded in the middle of the Zchensky Dam. This event will soon be know as the most deadly instance of homegrown terrorism the Zernovkan Republic has ever faced. First responders arrived at the dam at 7:30pm, where they were met with piles of debris and flame blocking their path. Oil from the hydraulics inside the inter-workings of the dam had caught fire, torching everyone and everything in the lower levels. Firefighters worked tirelessly to try and stop the fires, but to no avail. At 7:44pm, 22 minutes from the explosion, the Dam lost power and the structural integrity gave way. The Dam collapsed in on itself, releasing more oil and chemicals into the water. Without anything to hold the water back, swells of up to 56 ft rippled down stream towards the outskirts of Nykovka at a speed excess of 50 miles an hour. Boats, river side houses, docks, and beaches were swept downstream with the dangerous waters. 300 Workers and Civilians have already been reported as dead or injured with around 200 more missing.
