Before Lode’s arrival, countless souls became lost within this expanse, vanishing forever. Meanwhile, in the Undead dimension, Lode, then known as Aether, was obsessed with the Void. While others feared it, Aether tried to map it or even cross into the living realm, an act that violated a sacred law. In the process, they accidentally allowed a few souls to slip through a crack they created, an event that enraged the ruler of the Undead dimension. Instead of the usual punishment of imprisonment, the ruler announced an eternal sentence. They branded Aether’s tail with the mark of the Void; a giant star, symbolizing a lodestar. Along with this physical mark, the ruler changed Aether’s name to Lodestar. Now, Lode is banished to the Void, forever serving as a guide for the deceased on their journey across the dimensions. ABOUT THE VOID: The Void used to be a huge nighttime playroom/daycare themed plane, but eventually the sheer power of the Void broke itself up. Now it's a huge pit of floating islands, and if a soul falls off an island, they're gone forever, any mentions or pictures of them erased from all dimensions.
