Today, I had Fire go over some poles. After I first met him, and we bonded, I've been getting him on and off exercises. Today, was "pole day" I carefully set out the poles, and let Fire into the arena. With it being VERY warm, it was the perfect day to practice. He was very confused at first, but eventually started to go over the poles. I sat and watched him, and you might be wondering why! Well, for some horses, a skill comes easily to them, and in Fire's case, going over poles without me needing to lead him was easy! I can't wait to work with him some more!
