{PLEASE READ THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH} {IT'S LONG BUT NECESSARY} Hey! Welcome to the Wings Of Fire Musical auditions! If you're here, you probably were on the ping list, saw my profile, saw the original project, or this got put in a studio and someone actually checked it. (Add to all studios!) Jokes aside, my name is StarSeeker (Star ✰), and it's my dream to create a Wings Of Fire Musical. For more information, visit: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1290235493/ (Please do this if you haven't already. I mean it.) This is the project where you can actually audition for this wings of fire musical! I am once again asking that you STAY COMMITTED to the show! So if you have a lot going on, you're planning on leaving scratch, or you're just someone who forgets about these things over a long period of time, please consider that when applying. There are two parts to this audition. Singing: You can sing any (preferably musical theater) piece. It doesn't have to be from this show (well... you don't know anything from this show, so that shouldn't be a problem). Please consider your song choice wisely. Try to show off your vocal range, meaning that you should use a combination of low and high notes. If you know your preferred range (high or low soprano, tenor, etc, or even just what notes you can hit is fine), state that information in the project. If not, that's okay! You can showcase your range in the audition. If you can't find a song that showcases both high and low notes, you can sing some snippets of different songs. I would really prefer if you could sing with a backing track, but if you can't find one, a cappella is completely fine as well. A few song suggestions (my personal favourites, mostly for female, but anyone could use these): -I Know It's Today from Shrek -Dead Mom from Beetlejuice -Journey To The Past from Anastasia -Pulled from The Adams Family -Corner Of The Sky from Pippin -Good Girl Winnie Foster from Tuck Everlasting (and more) You can even sing Happy Birthday if you're really stuck! Acting: Inside the project, you will find a couple scene options. Please pick one with your desired character, and read the lines of that character. You can have someone else read the other lines, or reach out to me and I can send you a copy of the lines for you to record with. Please don't say the lines on their own, it sounds a lot better with context and makes it easier for me to see how you can interact with the other characters in the scene. You can audition for Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, Sunny, or Peril (because she has her own song, Peril is one of the biggest supporting characters). These are not the only characters in the musical, there are also many other large side roles and small ensemble roles. *Note: I have included multiple options so you can choose the scene which you think you will thrive in. You may choose to perform both scenes if you wish. Rules: -You DO have to audition. You can NOT just ask for a part, I will insist that you have to audition. -You CAN help your friends with their auditions, but you CAN'T collaborate on the same audition. You have to do two separate ones. -The audition MUST be a remix or it won't count. -Do NOT hate on other people's auditions! I would prefer if you didn't comment on them at all, as even overly nice comments can make others feel down, but if you do comment, make sure it's nice things only. -You can ONLY audition for ONE character. So choose wisely, and make sure you're expressing as much talent as possible. -Once again, make sure you are COMMITTED to this project! -You MUST record both a singing AND acting part, or I won't cast you in the show. It doesn't matter if there's only one you're good at, I won't judge that harshly anyway. -I might ask you to rerecord if your sound quality isn't great. -I also might ask you to rerecord after giving you feedback, but don't take this negatively! It actually means that I see your potential and want to see what you can do. About Casting: I can't guarantee everyone will get a part because I don't know how many people are auditioning. But I can guarantee that I will cast as many people as possible. I will be asking some people to join me for callbacks, but if you don't get one, don't worry! There's still a high chance you will get cast in the show, just maybe not as a lead. I would really prefer if you didn't go snooping around other people's projects to find out if they got a callback. The cast list will be out hopefully around January 2027, after the initial auditions and callbacks are done. Deadlines: So far, there is no official deadline. Once auditions start coming in more heavily, I'll estimate a deadline. Just because there is no deadline doesn't mean you can't post your auditions! In fact, I highly welcome auditions before the deadline is announced, as that will help me decide when the deadline will be. If you have any other questions, ask in the comments. Thank you!
