trigger warning for ... caps ... syscourse // i'm going to preface this by saying : i am a singlet. i am in no way a system and therefore entirely unable to know the reality of how endos affect traumagenic systems. this is just what i believe. BUT. i believe this strongly enough that i will get up on my metaphorical soapbox and shout this out to my ten followers in this wild west we call "the internet." so let's get started . =-=-= [A] . WHAT IS AN ENDOGENIC SYSTEM? ... an endogenic system is a system that is formed by means other than trauma. sometimes endogenic systems have trauma, it just isn't the cause of their plurality. ... plurality is when a singular body contains multiple "selves" or "personalities." (personalities is a super ableist term btw please please please don't use that i'm just saying it here as it might help educate you a bit more /srs.) i am not plural so i can sadly not describe this all too well, but i have a plural friend and all of deir alters are entirely separate people, they just happen to share a body. ... a body that experiences plurality is most commonly known as a system, which is the term used throughout this project. =-=-= [B] . WHY ARE ENDOS (seen as) PROBLEMATIC ? ... endogenic systems are seen as problematic due to the fact that they "invalidate" the experience of people with DID or OSDD. ... some endos do in fact do this ! claiming you can have a traumagenic disorder without trauma is harmful to people with trauma. ... but guess what ! endos who do not claim to have DID / OSDD are 100% valid and don't deserve hate. ... oh yeah and ! endos that believe in sys-hopping / selling alters are spreading misinformation that is not good! ... i have also seen an endo disrespecting an "endos dni" because they thought it was bad that's a massive no. what the heck. =-=-= [C]. SO WHAT THE HECK WAS THE POINT OF THIS PROJECT LMAO? ... to clarify that i am ! endo neutral ! because sadly you actually can't judge an entire label of people especially when it concerns something as varied as plurality! ... just be normal ya'll ... i don't know anything about endos ( slash light hearted ) but as long as you don't spread misinformation or hate you're chill in my book
