There's an extra description on the bottom after the original description! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The boy closed his eyes, exhausted after hours upon hours of studying. Assignments weighed down his mind like the heavy backpack he carried. He took a deep breath, holding it for a moment before exhaling. Sighing, he opened his eyes and stood up. It was time to go to sleep, but did sleep really offer any respite? It was just more time lost. As the boy cleaned up his desk, he allowed his mind to wander. When was the last time he spent time with his family? He recalled all the times he heard his sisters laughing in the other room, enamored with the ever-exciting game of Minecraft. He recalled the walks in the park with the family, strolling together without a care in the world. He recalled the silly games of frisbee he used to play with his dog and the fun they shared. Where had it all gone? The boy's days were filled with homework and classes. His family and friends were enjoying life, while he barely had time for his own hobbies. Is it really worth it? As the boy slipped into bed, he continued to reflect. While not a model student, his grades were good, and he was proud of what he had accomplished. So were his parents. He had his whole family encouraging him, unconditionally. Soon, these very grades would earn him a ticket to his future career. He was working hard, pouring unrelenting effort into chasing his future—and he was content with himself. Slowly, the boy closed his eyes. He thought about the countless people he had met, the adults who were impressed by everything he was doing. He thought about his friends and how it felt to know that he had their unwavering support. He would make them proud, he would make everyone proud, and he would show the whole world he was ready. With a smile, the boy drifted off to sleep. Is it worth it? There's only one way to find out. The next chapter of his life begins now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- What I learned: 1. Mixing 2. More complex reversed sounds 3. Sound design 4. The biggest question plaguing my life for the past year or two has been this song's title: "is it worth it?" Now, I want to answer this question for myself. Yes, it was worth it. Around 2 weeks ago, I received my official acceptance to the university of my dreams. For the past two years, I have worked my butt off doing everything I can to get in. And it was all so, so worth it. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who's supported me on this journey of mine. You may have seen that video on my YouTube channel; if not, here's a quick TLDR. I released a video talking about my music and my community and how awesome it is to be doing this. Then, I added a link to it to my application. It's very possible that you guys may have made a difference in getting me into this college, so I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. P.S: i just got another college acceptance literally a few minutes before this premiered XDDD More stuff will be on the way, and I'm going to take the step forward and look to the future! See you soon, Potang
