Shaded scene 2. og Story: (aka unstructured rant about story /silly) Xykil (which means "ocean" in the language of their native planet) was created in a lab. They were treated well by the lizdra (the main sentient species of said planet) but at one point the lizdra was messing around with teleportation technology and accidentally teleported Xykil to a random planet. This one happened to be earth, which the lizdra did know, but they didn't think to look there first Xykil doesn't have dna or anything, but they can change forms by sequencing the dna of other animals. During their time on earth, they chose a cat, but dna sequencing often makes mistakes (which is why they're green with antenna). Xykil caused load of havoc on earth (since the lizdra hadn't made official contact with earth and it was still at modern technology stage) , though it was all by accident. Xykil had no idea that cats aren't supposed to have green fur and antenna, so wasn't sure why every human that they saw seemed to think that they'd lost their mind or something of the like. Also, when a few humans attacked them out of confusion, Xykil often panicked and went into the alien form (which has more defensives). Once the news got round properly, some scientist found Xykil and let them explain things, though then Xykil, a literal child with little knowledge of technology, had to help them make a message for the lizdra. This took several months. Afterwards, the lizdra got Xykil back and had to explain a lot to the humans, since they weren't at sci fi level yet. Eventually, it was all sorted out and humans joined the plethora of other races allied to the lizdra. Because lizdra are generally good negotiators and can get along well with other races, they tend to get a lot of alliances
