Chapter 14 Dewpelt was furious at his apprentice and he could feel his fur on end. Foxclaw was trotting beside him as quiet as a mouse and Dewpelt knew that when he told Otterstar about Silverpaw that she would not be able to go to the gathering. "What were you thinking he said turning around and staring at his apprentice. They were far enough away from the border that Hawkglide's patrol would not hear. "I was defending myself, Silverpaw retorted. "You just embarrassed all of Rainclan. Silverpaw looked at her feet."Dewpelt maybe you are being to hard on her. Foxclaw was trying to be helpful but Dewpelt was still very angry."You are probably going to stay home from the gathering. "Silverpaw started up at Dewpelt with sadness in her eyes. Silverpaw stormed of towards camp and Mistpaw looked straight ahead. The leaves rustled and a cool night breeze swept through the forest. Dewpelt had been one of the warriors chosen to go to the gathering. Sandfur, Foxclaw, Frogleap, Roseleaf and Stoneclaw were chosen to go Lionpaw and Thornpaw were walking side by side and Dawnpaw was by her mentor Willowpelt. Mistpaw had been left behind to keep Silverpaw company. "What do you think will happen? Foxclaw was trotting beside him and he felt her warmth seep through his pelt. "Who knows, Meadowclan will probably cause trouble and Creekclan will most likely keep to themself, Vallyclan will probably end up accusing a clan for no good reas- Silence! Spottedfern halted beside Otterstar and they came to the gathering Hollow. Meadowclan and Vallyclan were already there and Dewpelt looked behind him and saw Creekclan behind them. Otterstar climbed up a particularly tall pine tree. Nightstar the Meadowclan leader sat beside him and Windystar sat on a branch above them. Mudstar the Creek clan leader followed them. He sat underneath the other three leaders. "Let this gathering began! Mudstars voice rang out loud and clear. Dewpelt came into camp with his fur ruffled. "How dare Meadowclan accuse us of trespassing. All the warriors were angry and Dewpelt heard Silverpaw in her excited voice. "I would of ripped them to shreds! Mistpaw sat quietly and he was talking to Lionpaw. Dewpelt knew that all of those apprentices were going to make great warriors and there mentors were going to help that happen.
