[READ UNTIL BOTTOM PLEASE IT IS IMPORTANT] [THE FUTURE OF MARINE MAMMALS AND HUMANS ARE IN YOUR HANDS KEEP READING TO FIND OUT] ⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇ Marine Mammal Highlight: Mooring, a (SSO) Southern Sea Otter was entangled in a fishing line and was rescued by The Marine Mammal Center for care. She was released slightly over a month after her admit exam. This predicament was caused by the ocean trash conservation issue. Ocean Trash is a real threat to both humans and marine mammals. All animals who consume some food from the ocean are endangered by microplastics, which are worn down plastics that never degrade, as well as plastic entanglement. Microplastics can make animals extremely sick and compromise their health. "ANIMALS" INCLUDES HUMANS. To save more mammals, I have 3 solutions on how YOU (any age) can help. First, you can use non-disposable items like metal straws, metal water bottles, and cloth masks. That can greatly help others to use less single-use plastics. Second, you can also upcycle plastics, for creative uses (making a milk jug birdhouse, turning trash into art, etc). Finally, you can encourage recycling items and ocean cleanups. Cleaning up already escaped trash is a great way to help marine mammals. All Patient facts from the Marine mammal center. All general facts about plastics, etc., are from in-class activities and NOAA. Credits: Art Made By: Me Sprites Made By: Me* Sound effects By: Scratch Thumbnail Made by: Me Code Made By: Me
