Carcolsian Kingdom ---------------- The Carcolsian Kingdom is a small coastal fishing and trading kingdom on the eastern coast of the [INSERT] Bay/Sea, bordering Romar to the north and the Vexin Union to the south, centered on its capital port city of Britherum. It is an absolute monarchy, ruled by King Aestan Carakols since 707. Founded by King Mariun Carakols in 448, the Kingdom started from humble beginnings - a small fishing and farming group of settlements along the southern end of the modern day Carcolsian coastline. Through warfare, alliance, and exploitation, the Carakols Dynasty expanded its holdings northward, becoming a regional trading power through the development of its textile and iron extraction industries. It took control of an offshore island, Carakolium, in 669, which became an important trading, naval, and fishing hub for the nation, and increasing its power projection in the bay region. The demonym and national name Carcolsian is a modified version of the name Carakols, used for international trade, though its inhabitants call themselves the Carakols. The Carcolsians are renowned for their shipbuilding, iron reserves, and cohesive economy.
