Intro Here at Golden Pastures breeding, we put heart, strenght, and money into our horses' well being, happiness and health. Any health conserns you meet will quickly be answered. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ||. Retirements and Health Conserns We( as already stated) are deeply concerned with the health and happiness of each and every horse we own and breed, and do have limitations to how much one mare and one stallion can overall breed, how long they take before returning to breeding, how long they care for their foals, and more beyond this. For starters, all broodmares have a breeding limitation of 5 or 6 foals before retirement and studs having 10-12 , all of which may change drastically on a single horse's age and health. Mares will go to zero breeding facilities/barns after having bred the limit, and stallions will be gelded and then adopted out as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |||. Rules 1. Always correctly credit for any foals bred 2. All Foals are completely purebred and you must have completely direct permission ANY time the horse is bred 3. Horses may not be leased, sold, or used in lessons. 4. Most Horses will be eventers, but some will have a special disipline( eg. western, dressage, ect.) 5. Information must be kept the same 6 Getting a filly or a colt is a 50/50 chance, twins are extremely rare, with 1/10-15 breedings giving twins If rules are not followed, actions will be made. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ||||. Lineage All Horses bred here will come with a lineage, this will come with the foals parents, and sometimes grandparents, great grandparents and farther back if possible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |||||. Prized Studs and Prized Broodmares Prized Broodmares and Studs, will have a little thing under their nameplate that says "Prized" and will also have " Prized" written on the bottom of their clipboards in the pasture ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ||||||. Q+A Q: Can I breed my stallion with your mare or my mare with your stallion? A: Unless that stallion or mare is a pure-bred or a GPE( golden pastures equestrian) horse BRED HERE, then no, you may not. Q: How much does one foal cost? A: Pricing can be found in Notes and Credits Q: Where do mares live and where do stallions live? A: Mares can be found in pasture one, while stallions can be found in pasture two Q: What breed do you focus on? A: We do not focus on one breed, but will have at least two of one breed of horse. Q: Why are some horses prized? A: because of good care for foals and good temperments and traits. Q: when can I bring home my foal? A: after you're foal has been raised to be a weanling by it's dam(1 irl week after foaling). Q: Can I breed a friesian sporthorse with a dutch warmblood? A: No, all foals should be purebred, so you can only breed two of the same breed of horse.
