controls: for multiplayer (which doesnt work) anything is fine, for two player WASD and arrow keys for player 1 and 2, space to active grenades for player 1, M for player 2 important note: game was previously was called internet fighters, its now called placeholder fights, why? because the original concept was too ambitious. second name change: placeholder grenades now removed intro because it didn't feel like something I'd create or add for context I joined a game jam, as of update 0.1 3/17/2026 this is just a test: made the design for first character coded slightly buggy map movement (removed) added crouching (all is subject to change thank god) update 0.2: added menu made map stationary began to code multiplayer made down arrow also work for crouching man, I forgot to add a lot of updates: anyways, two player button added (doesn't work) character button added (only one character as of this update) some things improved big update: added second character type bonzi buddy into character button update 0.3: removed all characters and replaced them changed menu screen completely changed game concept (its still similar)
grenade and explosion are not mine the game gets laggy when I add new code, most of the time to fix that press the green flag again (I am too lazy to fix the lag at the start) crouching is kind of like an unstick if you get stuck inside the level (trying to make it so you cant uncrouch if you're gonna touch a level when you do) some of the physics here are made by @griffpatch it is a bit buggy tho PS I won't add mobile support...maybe in the future after the game jam this is a test, please view the code for help with bug fixing song: I found a song on pixabay
