[IF SOMETHING REGARDING YOU IS IN THE THUMBNAIL, DON'T WORRY!!! READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO CRASH OUT] I'm gonna start by saying that none of this is to bash you guys. I love your fan art and everything that comes with you being inspired by me. but like, there are limits... First off, I've noticed a lot of you are taking inspiration from me. This is very uplifting to me, and I'm very happy about it. but... uh... There are... a couple of projects I've seen/heard about that are taking directions that are almost the exact same or even are identical to my projects. I'm all for being inspired, since that's how I started animating, but please don't copy my work. You might argue, "BFDI made a show, and people blatantly copied it, and I don't see them complaining!!" BFDI started making money from their series. They have an incentive to let people copy their series because it brings them more revenue (plus, it's an insanely copyable idea). I HAVE NO INCENTIVE TO WORK OTHER THAN PASSION. I don't get paid for my work, and the people helping don't get paid; their motive is the same as mine. If you have a series that's used a storyline very similar to mine already, that's perfectly fine. Just please find a way to make your story unique, as that's an important part of creativity. Another thing is fan art. I LOVE fan art. I download every piece of fan art I get. But there are boundaries to certain things. Shipping is fine (it's inevitable), but PLEASE do so at your own precaution. literally over 95% percent of SR characters are minors and even IMPLYING certain things can get you in trouble. this isn't even about me anymore, some of y'all are gonna get caught :sob: :praying_hands: Third thing, don't force expectations on my friends or me. Please remember that we make things together for fun, and the only reason ANYTHING is high quality is that we get motivated. For me personally, it's because I strive to do better than I did the previous time, but that's just me personally. Finally, PLEASE DO NOT IDOLIZE ME. I'm just like you in any other way. I go to school, I have friends, I have insecurities, and I'm just another person on this website. I am not your "god" or anything similar. I literally just animate ;-; Other than all this, you guys are the best community I could have ever asked for. I love you all, and your support in my projects means everything to me. These are just my feelings about these issues; disregard them, respect them, whatever. At the end of the day, there's always gonna be someone who's gonna do something I don't like, and I won't be able to stop every rulebreaker I come across. TLDR: please don't copy me, don't make your fan art too freaky, don't expect perfection from us, and please don't idolize me. I love y'all! Best, - Imperial
