C:The compass is one of the most influential inventions by the ancient Chinese people. E:This is shown throughout history, whereas important explorers, such as Zheng He, Vasco de Gama, and Christopher Columbus used the compass. R:These explorers soon found various discoveries that affect our world today, such as expanding China's trade, a direct route from Europe to India through sea travel, and finding the Americas. By using the compass, along with using a navigation method called "dead reckoning", they were able to make these discoveries.
