- WARNING! - This is a rant: So be prepared to read a lot if you want the context.
Context: I made this comment under a project supporting generative Ai to "help" with art/coding and they made the argument that it helps people who aren't good or skilled at code but like.. No one is born with knowledge? On any topic! I really don't understand this argument because coding is one of my favorite things to do! Being able to create like that is just so rewarding and beautiful! Even the most "basic" or "silly" of codes make me so happy! But.. Just having a bot do that for you takes away that-- and eventually nobody will know how to code by themselves anymore! There are plenty of free tutorials online and if you take the time to learn them it can become so fun being able to well- make your own! Whether it's a game, animation, comic, or anything to do with the littlest of code! Generative Ai is also taking a huge tole on the world around us: speeding up climate change, consuming ram and water, making people loose their jobs.. ☹ It's just so frustrating that things I love always get "modified" or "enhanced" with it. I'm beginning to ramble but-- the point is that it's really weird that this would get censored. I didn't use any swear words and I personally think my sentence was worded kindly enough. So could anyone tell me what was "hurtful" about this comment? (Oh and I already made a mini-rant about Ai-"art" a while ago so I'm not covering that right now.)
