Augmentations are split into two categories: Mechanical and biological. While these are incredibly advanced in-lore, they are generally only accessible to the wealthy. Mechanical ones can be used by AIs aswell, however, due to being non-biological beings they cannot have biological ones. They can also be used to aid characters with a disability. RULES . Every augmentation must be posted here for my personal approval before you use it. . By default, characters cannot feel through these augmentations. Sensory input (feeling touch/pain) requires expensive, surgically implanted "special plates" available only to the ultra-rich. . You are allowed to tease or hate on cosmetic augmentations in-character. Only cosmetic ones. Do not tease characters for disability-related augments. If you aren't sure which category an augment falls into, play it safe and avoid the teasing. . These can be used to assist characters with disabilities, yet you would need to explain why they have it, and research how it is used in real life. They would be more like how prosthetic limbs are now, and you still need to research the disability. . Your character would need to have a reason. If it's something harmless / minor [like a mechanical exoskeleton on their hand or something] the reason can be simple [such as it looks cool], but if it's something more then you would need a better reason. It also must be from the character's perspective. For AIs, there would need to be a reason from it's creator [if it was built with that feature], or a reason for that to be added [If it was added by the AI later on] MECHANICAL . Anything reasonable, from extra arms to full replacement heads (provided the brain remains intact and the character can still see and eat. If it removes something such as sight, speech, arms, etc. you will need to research the corresponding disability). . Pyrotechnics, wings (given they operate like a hang glider), animal features, etc. are all allowed. BIOLOGICAL These are newer! You may now use flesh augmentations. These are biological parts (like a shark tail) surgically taken from another being and grafted onto your character. These still require specific approval from me, and will likely look incredibly uncanny. Depending on what it is, they may not fully function properly.
