⚠️ Be aware — the project's result displayer will round off decimal digits because of how IEEE 754 displays fractions and I can't fix it! ⚠️ You can use this project to experiment with fixed-point — a variant of floating-point that maintains its precision for any number at the cost of a lesser representation range of integers and fractions. They both use base-2 numbers to approximate your fractions and represent integers. Click on the bits to switch them on and off (1 means on and 0 means off). Drag the sliders inside of the "Exponent Bits" and "Mantissa Bits" section. I made it where you can have up to 21 Exponent bits and 17 Mantissa bits. All scripting, animation, and artwork was made by me. Have fun experimenting with the fixed-point number system!
