"YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES" (Arrow keys) Info - _______ The Dominion is not like any other nation, and Dominlings not like any other species. Since the end of WW3, their ancestors had to basically restart civilization in their region, reduced to the state of animals, having to figure it out all over again. Their culture, and almost unofficial religion, even Dominling nature has developed in ways beyond what most humans could imagine. Living under the Military Collective, knowing nothing else but what it teaches and shows also leaves its mark. But on top of all this, one factor has always been present that was the leading cause of conflict between Dominlings and other species, that being they must live within high levels of radiation in order to survive. For several reasons, from absorbing radiation to power themselves, to their nervous system being so used to being burned by it, that to suddenly not be would cause a shock powerful enough to kill them. For decades, the Dominion has maintained an image of its people being supersoldiers, but in reality, Dominlings can be even more fragile than humans. They aren't even completely immune to radiation, it still destroys them over time, their technological fusion is just very good at slowing down the process and mutations help negate the effects. It is both a blessing and a curse. This, plus ideological, and orders are the main reasons why Dominlings are migrating out of lost territory. Since all three of the victors want to clean up the fallout to make way for their own settlement, living there will be impossible. Ideological reasons also exist. In the case of NASM, it is distrust, resentment over the loss of so much, and disagreements on many factors. Such as brain chips, the great collapse, capitalism, and their religion. In the Caribbean, living under them is out of the question after all that they have done. Adyntum isn't even an option, and is not even a political enemy, but an existential one. There are those who seek to stay, mainly in territory taken in NASM and the states they carved, due to them being the most lenient. To get around the radiation problem, at least 2 million will stay to live on their wasteland reserves where the biggest Dominling cities would be located. But that is all it can spare.... because then comes orders..... The Dominion is a Military Collective. It's organized into platoons, divisions, brigades, and so on. Even in industry, school, farming, ect. It is all organized in military rank and file. Instead of being born into a town, state, or province, you are born into a unit. A unit that may be constantly moving from entire planets to planet. You may also transfer from unit-to-unit. It doesn't really have a civilian population, its entire population is the military. Just not everyone has combat roles(but all are trained for combat from an early age) The Dominion is simply moving it's units out of taken territory(most have probably already been pushed out during the war) To settle in the not as densely populated Pacific and undersea holdings, even Nova-Alaska. But under half of what remains of the earth population is leaving to bolster the Sol defenses. The battle on earth may have ended, but the struggle across the galaxy is just starting. Now with defeat on earth, the Dominion is even more weakened and exposed. The situation is already desperate before a single gem ship has crossed the border.....
Credits - ________ Sounds from Pixa-bay, Music from Adyen George) Notes - ________ I really, REALLY don't want the Dominlings to just become another slimes, or other players to play as them. It may seem rude, but I have my reasons. For one, I put a lot of work into making them. My concept of them would be corrupted, maybe even abused over time. As in like some ppl using "I have Dominling supersoldiers, so I win" or along those lines. How they work, with the bio-fusion would be corrupted. All the past history and lore would be almost meaningless. And many factors that drive the story, like them neading radiation to survive would probably be changed just for the sake of winning wars, magically getting rid of all their weaknesses and adding more pros. This also kinda ruins a lot of the meaning behind them. I am only allowing NASM to have some with limited freedom because I trust him, same with Mused(despite Adyntum only getting probably a few thousands due to the brutality of the war, and Dominlings choosing to self destruct rather then be captured, and infecting themselves with poisons specifically engineered to target Adyntum if they are taken) It will also help serve the story and lore(This is totally not foreshadowing) Plus, moving most of the Dominlings gives the newer states more arm room. To develop their own lores and nations, do their own thing. They have a great opportunity here, since most of the original cultures there are long extinct. They can create new ones. Ya know..... Instead of just stealing from me- On a side note, i'm starting to like having less territory. It'll be easier to manage, I have all sorts of maps and charts planned, that'll be more easier to make now.
