Part 49 “Okay then!” Izuku clasped his hands together with a grin. “Now that Kacchan’s not in the middle of her monthly blood ritual of agony and despair, we can actually plan a mission.” He looked around at the other members of the League. Katsumi chuckled quietly. “That's a new name for it-” She muttered. He raised an eyebrow. “Would you prefer I call it by the medical term-” “Hell no, blood ritual is alright with me.” “Great. Anyways, mission plan.” Izuku leaned forward, resting one hand on the bar counter. “We’re gonna see if we can wreak some havoc at UA.” He grinned. “Something similar to the USJ, preferably.” (Kacchan's first real mission! Not counting the ones where she got impaled or died.) His mind, going at a hundred miles per minute, strayed back to his first mission. ————————————————— Izuku fidgeted nervously. He didn't have a lot of experience using his new Quirk, how would he do? He wasn’t sure. (I… I can do this. I'm a villain now, I have to do a good job…) His mind wandered, for some reason, to Katsumi. Immediate hate filled him. (...I have to make her pay for what she did to me. I can start in little ways.) He gripped his knife tighter. (Like taking out one of her lackeys.) The target was a boy with red wings and a buzz cut. Izuku couldn't remember ever learning his name. Usually he’d been too busy getting beat up by Katsumi to bother asking. (Focus, idiot. You have a job to do.) He did his best to calm his breathing. The winged boy walked past the mouth of the alleyway he was crouched in. (Kacchan’s friend. Kacchan.) A red haze descended over his vision, and he lunged, swinging his weapon. The boy collapsed with a gurgle. Izuku's hands felt warm, and he glanced down. They were covered in blood. Trembling slightly, he checked for a pulse. There was none. He'd cut the internal carotid artery. (...I just killed someone.) His vision returned to normal. His hands shook violently. (I just KILLED someone.) He staggered back, swaying. He felt sick. A wg appeared, and Dabi stepped through. “...first time’s always the hardest, Usagi. It'll get easier.” He looked at the boy on the ground with a sneer. “Too bad he died before I could see.” When Izuku didn't answer, he looked up. “Yo. Broccoli.” Izuku was still shaking. Dabi looked irritated. “Of all the… you're perfectly fine with planning to murder heroes, but the moment someone’s blood is actually on your hands, you lock up?” He sighed. “Think of it this way. This kid was friends with the girl. Bakugou.” Izuku's head immediately snapped up. (...Kacchan.) “You can hurt her by hurting those she knows.” (...yeah... yeah, I can do that. For the purpose of hurting Kacchan.) He smiled. (For Kacchan...) ————————————————— Izuku stared at himself in the mirror. “...how did...” He touched his face. His eyes had turned red. (All I was doing was thinking about how to make Kacchan suffer for what she did to me...) Toga poked her head into the bathroom. “Izu-kun~ Oh- your eyes are different!” She grinned. “Cool! It makes you look more villainous~” “Thank you? I think? Did you need something-” She twirled a knife between her fingers. “Shiggy wants to talk to you! He wants to know what your villain name’s gonna be.” He eyed it warily. “Okay.” He shooed her away, then leaned against the sink. (Is this because I was thinking about Kacchan? Or was it because I was thinking of causing pain in general?) He studied his reflection for a few moments. (...makes me look more villainous, huh? Interesting. I could use this.) His mind drifted to Katsumi. Did he really want her to pay...? He knew he wanted to hurt her in some way, but how? Now that he thought about it, he wasn't sure the arrogant ash blonde world even remember any of the ‘extras’ from middle school. (Ah, I should find some way to check up on her, see how she's doing. Cameras, maybe? They're everywhere, and it shouldn't be too difficult to hack the security systems...) He smiled. (Just to keep an eye on her. That's all. I have to make sure nobody else can be the one to make her suffer.) —————————————————
“You've been sitting there all day, kid. Are you really gonna watch her like this?” Izuku didn't look up from his computer screen as Dabi strolled over. “Yes. I need to make sure she stays safe.” “Ah yes, keep her safe so only you can hurt her. Makes perfect sense.” The screen reflected the green of Izuku's eyes as they shifted to red. He looked up with a cold glare. “Is something funny, Dabi?” “Of course not, bunny boy.” His eye twitched slightly. Ever since he’d decided on ‘Usagi’ as his villain alias, Dabi hadn't stopped teasing him about it. Izuku had tried to explain that if he had a weak sounding alias, people would underestimate him, but the scarred man had simply continued laughing. “I don't want to deal with you right now.” Izuku muttered, turning back to the screen where he was currently monitoring the feed from the camera in the corner of Katsumi's classroom. His old classroom. The ash blonde was sitting normally in her seat. (Who knew all it took was the ‘death’ of someone she knew to make her less aggressive?) Katsumi had stopped bullying people. In fact, she’d actually started pushing everyone away. It was fascinating to watch. Izuku found he was starting to become even more interested in her. He had to be wary of that, he knew how his interests could turn into obsessions relatively quickly. Though, with how he was starting to feel towards her... it was probably too late now. Part 49.
