it’s official; you now need to do the age verification to do ANYTHING that allows you to chat on roblox without going onto a game that lets you do so even without verifying. i just have to say: this is absolutely ludicrous. i’ve already made a project about this, and the exact rollout date was also shown, but that doesn’t make it any better. this can’t be tolerated. THIS CAN’T BE TOLERATED AT ALL. “but i don’t use chat” good for you, but the vast majority of roblox players beg to differ. “you and schlep caused this” haha NO, this has already been proven to be wrong since the very start of this mess “you can still play roblox” ok nice, that’s awesome, but what about COUNTLESS games that rely on CHAT to be playable and all that? what about being able to COMMUNICATE, something that roblox has been insisting on THESE PAST FEW YEARS??? what about BEING ABLE TO ACCESS ONE OF THE CORE FEATURES OF ROBLOX IN GENERAL????? ofc i just made up those statements but you get the point, locking a core feature behind an unreliable and inconsistent screenshotting robot that (allegedly) LIES TO YOU ABOUT KEEPING YOUR *FACE* SAFE is an ABHORRENT thing to have on roblox and it’s proven to have been DETRIMENTAL for everyone. i still don’t know what’s driving roblox to continue doing this, because i don’t think even the INVESTORS would appreciate going this far to invest. if i could, i would have this feature be removed *IMMEDIATELY*. it’s even worse that the age group system that comes AFTER the absurdly bad age check just lets the, ahem, “bAd AcToRs” (don’t get why this phrase is so overused in a robloxian context) carry out their bad acts even MORE easily than before. it’s such a terrible and rushed system, it isn’t even funny. it’s just depressing. roblox, do a decent thing for once and just replace age verification with one of the BILLIONS OF MUCH BETTER ALTERNATIVES, excluding things like removing chat altogether. nobody likes this update and that’s just a fact at this rate. baszucki, matt, investors, whoever is the ultimate culprit, give up and remove age verification. it isn’t acceptable. not now, now in a week, a month, a year… or anytime.
