Arbor has said something. I blink to clear my thoughts and turn to face him, in sync with Rosemary. She seems to have missed what he said as well. “Sorry, what?” Rosemary asks. This is your chance to make a good impression. I tell myself. You don’t want to mess this up. “Uh, hey guys… I’m here too,” he says. “Sorry,” She says. I decide to introduce myself "Uh, hi Arbor. I'm Piper, me and Rosemary have been getting to know each other and um, I'm from District Twelve." He looks me over. Hard and long. I hold my breath. "Nice to meet you, Piper. I think we'll make good allies, don't you think?" I give him a small smile. "I do." And I can't help but notice the protective arm he wraps around Rosemary. Does he really trust me or is it all for show? For Rosemary? There's a moment of uncomfortable silence, then Rosemary says "Anyway.." "I'm going to throw axes." Arbor says and walks way quickly. "I think I'll go to the archery station." I say. I turn on my heel to go, but I hear Rosemary call "Wait!" and I turn around back to face her. She looks beautiful. I don't know where that thought came from, but there she is, blond hair bouncing as she jogs over to me. “I got this letter…” she starts., voice dropping to a whisper “It was hidden in my drawer in my Capitol room. I opened it and it had instructions to…” she pauses and takes a furtive glance around before continuing. “Break the arena,” she finishes hoarsely. “Whatever we do, we need an axe,” she tells me. I just stare at her for a moment. Is she messing with me? I look into her eyes and I see a girl who's tough but scared. Strong but sad. She's telling the truth, and I owe it to her, and Alexis, to help. I nod and say "I'll do my best." I take a tentative look around. No ones paying us much mind. "Does Arbor know?" "Not yet," she says quietly. I suspect she's trying to keep this information from him for his safety. I saw the way she looked at him. Which, them makes me wonder, how much doesn't she value MY safety? I nod again “Ok, best we split up for now, so no one suspects us.” She just nods and follows after Arbor. And I head for the archery station, as I said I would. But I keep a watchful eye out for Dior. Why isn’t he here?
