I haven't been on scratch a while so here take my junk. Anyway, the ending of chapter one couldn't fit in the credits so you kind need to look in another project linked at the end. But you kinda need to read this first so here! This isn't that edited so there might be mistakes. This is more of a backstory for one of my characters. AKA- Linh Linh and the stolen egg! : Linh was on her last leg. What she meant by that? She didn’t even know. You see, Linh’s mother stole something. Something forbidden. As a punishment they told her mother that she’d have to give it back or they would kill Linh. For some reason it had to be given back from hand. And for some reason, her mother refused and ran off. Even though this broke Linh’s heart she kept moving, kept hoping for a future that did not end with death. She escaped and is now on the run. Thankfully, these people who threatened to kill her weren’t the police. If they were she would’ve be caught and been sentenced to death long ago. They were like a magic securer police. If that made any sense. They were fooled by a simple change in ID. ( So much for their magic. ) Their only power was being able to be to not seen by humans. And no one would notice if they committed successful murder. So Linh would simply just change her ID once every now and then. But the person she impersonates must be dead and must be her age to work. Linh knew this by experience. People like this were common. Disappearances they were. Nobody would even notice they were ever gone if she acted like one. Surprisingly they were parentless. This made it a thousand times easier. But these disappearances were running low and soon enough there was only one left. Angelica. Linh’s BFF. Of course, Linh hated impersonating someone who she knew. It felt like pleasuring her friend’s death. But she had to. Angelica looked and acted like Linh. It one of Linh’s most effortless impersonations. The only thing she had to change was her T-shirt. Even when Linh had to change her hair because of an impersonation, Angelica would do to. Angelica escaped with Linh, rejecting her old life. They ended up bet short black ragged hair, white skin, blue eyes, jeans and different T-shirts. Linh had completely forgotten how she first looked like. It didn’t matter though. As long as she lived, she was fine. Even if it meant she had to live with the death of others. Anyway, Linh was now on a little joy ride. On a train. Linh was really immersed in her thoughts. She was thinking about the free train ticket she found in Angelicas bag. She hoped it wasn’t a trick. Or a capture and kill plan. The capture was fine. The kill? Not so much. Linh didn’t even notice there was someone sitting in front of her until she was 10 minutes away from her destination. She looked up. They did too. They spoke, “Linh?” Linh was startled. She wasn’t found was she? She looked into the other persons eyes. They were wearing Angelica’s school uniform. But apart from that Linh couldn’t even make out who they were. Angelica’s uniform was supposed to hide one’s features, a green cloth tide to your mouth, a black cloak covering your head, and black shorts. Linh assumed they were a girl, with purple long hair and pearly black eyes but who was she to judge? She didn’t want to anger them. She didn’t know what they were capable of. Before she could decide her next move the student spoke again; “Oh, don’t look at me like that!”, they snorted, “I’m Dot! Angelica’s BFF!” Linh suddenly lost the desire to not anger this student immediately. Linh knew Dot, she was an annoying, emo, foolhardy girl. “Dot? Oh, you are so annoying and immature!“ snapped Linh, pointing it out, “I cannot believe you’re 18!” Dot snorted, “That may be, but we both know you need my help! Plus you’re going to help me after I help you.” “Why would I need your help? I got my impersonation, and I’m still alive. I don’t need any thing other than another ID and we both know you don’t have that.” Linh argued. Dot passed Linh a school uniform, “Aren’t there many disappearances at forest placed school camp-out?” Dot said, a half smile on her face grew as her dark circled eyes gleamed. Dot gave some time for Linh to change. Linh knew that she had to try. Even if she didn’t know what the plan was. Even if she didn’t understand Dot’s point. She was probably an idiot for using up her last ID for Dot but she really had nothing more to lose. “Five more minutes until we get off.” Dot said, staring into space. Linh noticed tears in her eyes. Linh stared. Linh understood why Dot was upset but… Linh nodded, “Okay?” Angelica was Dot’s best friend. Maybe Linh was too hard on Dot. She probably just found out about Angelica. And Linh didn’t show a display of remorse. Linh could only imagine how heartless Dot would think she is.
Linh started, “Hey Dot?” “Hey?” Dot replied questionably, not facing to look at Linh. “I’m sorry about Angelica, it’s weighing on me too.” “…?” asked Dot turning around to face her. “I-” Linh replied, not knowing what to say.. “I get it and it’s fine.” Dot interrupted briskly, she looked into Linh’s eyes, “You do what you have to do.” “I know, and I want to let you know that it hurts.” Dot nodded, “It hurt you? I didn’t know that.” Linh playfully stuck out her tough in return. Then looked outside. Their conversation was over. The two girls didn’t talking for the rest of the train ride. The train slid into a halt. Linh looked outside to see a sign. But it was too smudged to read. Great, now she didn’t even know where in the world was she. Maybe it was a bad idea to trust Dot. Who was she kidding? It 100% was a bad idea! Linh sweared under her breath which earned a look from Dot. Linh and Dot slowly descended the train together. Careful to avoid attention. They managed to get halfway before getting spotted. “Who’s the friend you got there Miss Dot?” asked Dot’s teacher sternly, “I don’t I know her!” “I’m Angelica! You don’t even remember me?” Linh snapped confidently. She looking into the teachers eyes. It took about a minute for that to sink in. “WHAT???” After Linh and Dot got the whole lie sorted Dot showed Linh their cabin. “This is Alex, Angelica’s other friend” Dot introduced. “Hi! No need to catch me up! I know everything! It’s nice to meet you Linh!” Alex said more enthusiastically than Dot could ever be. He was a little taller than Linh with his messy blond hair and green eyes that were hard to trust. “You told him everything?” asked Linh doubtfully, “Isn’t he that idiot Angelica felt pity for?” Alex’s smile quickly depleted, “What?” “Let’s just go to sleep now.” Dot said, giving up. Linh could see that she wanted Alex and Linh to be friends but there was no way they were gonna even talk to each other after this. Linh tried to sleep. But she couldn’t. There were to many thoughts rolling through her head. Crawling out of the tent, Linh decided to take a stroll through the near by forest. The forest was bleak and eery. Mist whispered through the trees. Outside, forest looked small but after a while of wandering Linh was lost. It was huge on the inside. She had to find a way back. She kept on walking. Her steps as silent as her surroundings. She was good as dead here. If she didn’t find her way back she might as well as end up as animal dinner. What was she thinking? After a few minutes she got a suspicion that someone was following her. Their footsteps reflected her own. Like an echo. They were good but it wasn’t long before line spotted their mistakes. A bush beside her rustled. She stopped abruptly, looking at the bush. “A- anyone there?” she asked scared. “Uh… Hi again!” Alex answered, his blond hair peeking out of the bush, “I followed you.” “I can see that.” Linh said quickly recovering. “Are we lost?” “What do you think?” “Oh…” said Alex getting up and standing beside Linh, “Are we doomed?” “Yes, we’re doomed.” Linh replied annoyed, walking deeper into the forest. The last thing she needed was someone to infuriate her even more. She was on the last brick of sanity anyway. Alex mutters, “Okay…” “Anything wrong?” asked Linh gritting her teeth. “Yes! I’m bored! This is so boring!” Linh turns to face Alex. Bored? That was his problem? “Let’s just find a way out.” “Ok!” Together, Linh and Alex searched for a way to get back to camp. They both searched in different directions. Linh ended up with the mistier side. ( to her luck ). Alex checking the other. Linh still couldn’t believe she trusted Alex to search a part of the forest at all. Mist clouded Linh’s vision. She didn’t how far she had walked. Form the pain in her legs, she’d say a lot. Linh was about to give up but then she spotted something. It was a black figure. “Alex?” Linh guessed. “No...” the figure spoke in a husky voice. Linh’s eyes widened. She took several hasty steps backward. She looked over at the other figure. It was a dragon. As the mist cleared and her eyes adjusted she spotted out some details. The dragon had purple glamorous scales and dark blue eyes. Form all she could tell, the dragon was a girl. A mother. She’d never seen a dragon before. She sucked in a breath. “Who?” “I think you know who…” She did. He was one of those magical police she was talking about. The rest: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1294020721
