Grand Canyon Eastern was a fictional class 1 railroad. It was established in 1882. It ran until 1984 when it went bankrupt. A small fraction of the rails are part of the Grand Canyon Eastern R.R. museum, and the rest is part of the Grand Canyon Railway. The GCRY bought the 647 for static display in early 2003, but now, a group called "Friends of the 647" is raising money to buy and restore this beast of the rails!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Sigh' I wish this was real.
It don't look like a J1 no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, its a 4-8-2. Press space 2 see without smoke deflectors.
