Hello and welcome to the first Tell of your Spirit lesson in this unit! I’m Monarch Canary, and I’m delighted to be your Training Leader this unit. I hope we find that excellent times await us, better than the units before. For now, we’re looking at the absolute basics of writing. What is writing? Writing can mean many things. To some, it means a story told on paper. To others, a letter or more. For us, writing means a true or fictional tale with reality woven deeply into it. There are many forms of writing: poetry, short stories, long stories, and songs; letters and essays galore. We, in this course, will be focusing on three (3) of them: Short stories, poetry, and journaling. Your task for today is simple: fill out the form below, honestly and without any lies. A secret: has a gf (not allowed w/ family) Simple, right? Who was it easier to fill out the form for? (Made up character lol) In these next few lessons, we’re going to be working on stopping that fear of telling others who you are. How is this writing related? Easy. When you understand your own voice, it becomes stronger, and you trust it more. If you’re not letting yourself see that you have flaws, your characters will be less realistic, less resonating with other peoples’ lives. That’s it for this lesson, see you soon!
