Something more When we can’t, We long to crawl,, When we crawl, We long to walk. When we walk, We long to run, When we run, We long to fly. When we fly, We long to soar. And when we soar, We will long for something else. Always wishing, Longing, Waiting, Hoping for something more, Never happy, Never content, Always longing For something more. Shield of Silence Stop hiding, Hiding behind your shield of silence, I can see the deep pain in your eyes, Even through the quiet. You’ve fastened your mouth shut. You only open it to say “I’m fine,” But if you never say something, You never will be fine. Because you’re hiding, Your emotions are tucked away, Deep down behind your shield of silence, Where they remain to this day. And maybe forever.
