this is my entry for @yusaeko's contest!! the fairy tale theme is so cool and such a unique idea <3 description/explanation: i'm entering for the fairy tale of cinderella. my entry is a banner, and i went with a cottagecore-esque theme to show how cinderella was forced to work as a servant for her stepmother and stepsisters (specific pngs like the teapots, teacups, and clothesline represent the chores she did for them). despite their cruelty towards her, she remained humble, honest and kind. in the banner, the cottagecore theme is contrasted by a few pops of blue, especially the glass slipper. this represents that while cinderella eventually marries the prince and goes to live with him in a glamorous palace, she never loses her kindness and compassion. she forgives her stepsisters, even though they were so cruel to her. i also included pngs of butterflies, bunnies and other animals to show her kindness towards all living things in the world. the pngs of clocks and stopwatches represent the part of the story where cinderella has to get home from the ball before midnight. and lastly, the fairy in the banner represents her fairy godmother, who gave her the hope that she could have the life she dreamed of. and that sums up my entry!! credits: contest hosted by @yusaeko banner by me, made on pixlr e images/pngs are not owned by me fonts are 'mea culpa regular' and 'dm serif regular'.
