Juno is sibling to Queen Azure, who was never supposed to inherit the kingdom in the first place. Juno and Azure's parents, Cobalt and Midnight, thought Juno would make a great king one day. To celebrate the kingdom’s prosperity, their parents, Cobalt and Midnight, hosted a grand Lunar Feast. This was supposed to be the night Juno was officially named the Crown Prince. Azure, knowing this was her last chance to take the throne, used a celestial toxin. During the feast, she secretly slipped it into their father's food. As Cobalt collapsed, Azure didn't call for a healer—she pointed a trembling paw at Juno. Azure had carefully placed a vial of poison in his room to make it look like Juno had done it. Instead of letting the guards execute Juno, Azure "begged" for their life, convincing their parents that Juno wasn't evil, just "too dangerous to be free." He then was forced to live as a palace servant, and one day, while cleaning the boiler room he saw some conveniently placed rotting wood. He moved the wood out of the way, and then he saw it. An empty vial of poison. It made headlines immediately. Newspapers, interviews, everyone was talking about it. The vial had Queen Azure's fingerprints all over it. Azure was thrown into a dungeon, and Juno became the king. Azure's reign was finally over.
