Despite most goo shrooms that Lampenspeil seems to descend from having stalks of natural material, the Lampenspeil has a stalk of steel. Whether this was from the mutation effects of the goopocalypse or the robotification of the people who worked the industrial island company, this steel stalk acts as the main body of the Lampenspeil. It is said that the head of the lampenspeil may have been a seprate creature at some point that decided to infest the stalks of steel that it found. Through the increased elevation, the lampenspeil began to attract furflies, which are said to be the predescessors to that of the ramsquito. From this unfortunately, monsters tend to resent Lampenspeil, seeing it as just another pest, even if it's really just the furflies who do the pesting, or maybe it's becasue the toxic goo infused metal stalk is said to have a noxious breath. Who knows. All the monsters know is to not approach it, which Lampenspeil makes the most of by becoming accustomed to that of an introverted life style, only making conversation with the furflies, even if they don't listen that much.
