"Awaken, lost soul." a voice rumbled from within a void. The Second Coming slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurry at first. As his vision cleared, he started to realize he was stuck within a glass tank of some sort. There was a mask on his face. The tank began being emptied of the preservation liquid, just as TSC started removing his mask. The glass door of the tank opened, and he stepped out into a surprisingly freezing room. "Ah, you're shivering. Odd," a voice echoed from a speaker from the corner of the chamber. TSC didn't even realize he had grabbed his own arms in an attempt to warm himself. He tried to speak, but his voice failed him, and he let out a cough instead. He turned to a tinted window on the far left of the chamber, starting to walk towards it. After nearly stumbling a few times and coughing loudly as he made his way towards that window, he knocked on it once, the sound echoing throughout the room. He tried to speak once more, but his voice came out more as an audible croak. "H-hello..?" The figure behind the glass pane looked up from whatever it was doing. It grabbed the microphone before it. "Ah! You're awake!" It scribbled something on a large rectangular... thing. "Give me a moment. I need to write something down..." In the meanwhile, TSC took the time to get a better look at his surroundings. The room was rather dull. The walls were a bluish-grey, with white lights lining where the wall met the floor. Various machinery was scattered around the chamber. Finally, the figure behind the glass spoke. "The boss would like for you to meet him in his chamber." Two guards entered the room. They took their places on either side of TSC, grabbing his arms. The guards led him through various hallways. Through one of the doors, he saw someone being... He couldn't describe what he was seeing. It was as if the person he was viewing was being assembled and disassembled at the same time. Before long, he was back on his journey to the main meeting room. A few more minutes passed by, but to him, it felt like eternity. His eyes widened slightly as the doors opened, and before him was a group of shadowy giants that gazed down at him from above. "Welcome," said the one at the far side of the room, "We brought you here today because we wanted to speak with you about something." They paused for a long moment. One of the other "Shadows" coughed. "Mmh. Well, you - young one - are here today due to a certain... mission our ancestors had for us," the one who had coughed said. "What is that mission..?" TSC asked, his voice rough, but clearer than before. The one at the far side glanced at the others, meeting the gazes briefly before replying. "Restoring balance to a world that has long been set ablaze." A projector turned on, and behind the Shadow leader were live videos of the world above. How he knew he was underground, he did not know. The Leader's explanation of the events and mission went on for a while, and during that time, TSC zoned out, drawing himself into his mind. He thought about a few things... maybe his friends and family (That quite literally went on their own paths prior to this). He zoned back in, just as The Leader finished. "Did you catch all of that?" The Leader asked. TSC nodded in silence. "Alright. Send him to the armory. Then, to the training grounds." The guards took him to the armory, where he was fitted with armor that looked as thin as paper. On his back were two tanks filled with a bright green fluid. "What's in there?" TSC gestured at the tanks on his back. One of the assistants stared at him as if he were of lesser intelligence. "Sarkhan's Ichor." The name 'Sarkhan' sent shivers down his spine, as if he had heard it somewhere before, but didn't know where. A shock went through his body as flexible pipes connected the tanks to the suit. Power surged through his body as he felt something deep within him awakening. After he was all armored up and armed with weapons that fit him, he was sent to the training grounds, where his aim and fighting prowess was tested. Before long, he was sent out on his first mission with a squad of Shadows he barely knew. At the designated location, he spotted some... oddly familiar figures in the distance. As he got closer, the figures turned. "Orange..?" one of them called out.
