Update | Getting Back Into Work Spring is finally starting to show here in the Netherlands, so I brought Arcadia out for a jump session this afternoon. She hasn’t been in proper work since having her foal a couple of weeks ago, so she came out pretty tense, and the moment she spotted the jumps, she got all excited and bouncy. After a long warmup she finally started to relax, and once she settled, she felt amazing. I set up a few simple lines to ease her back into things, and she slipped right into her usual rhythm, bold, forward, and completely locked onto every fence. By the end she was feeling so good that we finished with a small oxer, which she popped over like it was nothing. With competitions coming up, it’s really nice seeing her get back into the swing of things. What are your horses working on now that spring’s here?
