Simplified: strategic, confident, loyal, possessive, ambitious, manipulative, obstinate, raucous Detailed: Stategic - Murkykit’s mind works several steps ahead of eeryone around. She analyzes situationw with precision that borders on tactical, understanding cause and effect, social dynamics and leverage with unsettling ease. She often orchestrates interactions between other kits, forming friendships easily and making her extremely charismatic. Confident - Self-doubt has no place in Murkykit’s world. She carries herself with absolute certainty, never hesitating, never second-guessing herself, and never betraying a moment of insecurity. This unwavering confidence draws others to her - they want to stand beside someone who seems so unshakeable. It also makes her immune to the kinds of social attacks she so easily wields against others. Loyal - To the select few she deems worthy, mostly her family, Murkykit’s loyalty is absolute. She would lie for them, fight for them, and destroy anyone who wrongs them without hesitation. Her loyalty is exclusive and conditional on their loyalty in return, but within that circle, she is unshakeable. Possessive - What, and who, is Murkykit’s, is hers, she keeps. Murkykit views her littermates, her chosen friends, and her preferred sleeping spot in the nursery as extensions of her territory. She does not share well and reacts poorly when others encroach on what she has claimed. This protectiveness ensures her inner circle is fiercely defended, but also makes her controlling, prone to jealousy and often bad at sharing with others. Ambitious - Satisfaction is a temporary state for Murkykit. The next goal is always looming, whether it’s mastering a skill before the other kits, earning favor as an apprentice, or simply having the best groomed coat, she is perpetually reaching for more. This drive pushes her to excel constantly, but also means she never quite feels as though she has truly succeeded. There is always someone better to surpass, another summit to reach the top of. Manipulative - Murkykit possesses a gift for finding the precise crack in another cat’s armor and pressing until she gets her way. A whispered comment disguised as concern, a knowing glance, a secret revealed, she can destabilize another kit’s confidence with a few well-chosen words. Sometimes she does this with purpose, to eliminate a rival or defend her circle. Sometimes she does it because she’s board, or because she can, or to simply watch what happens Obstinate to failure - Murkykit is known to be stubborn. Particularly when it comes to admitting weakness. To show vulnerability is to lose, and Murky,it does not lose. She will endure physical pain, exhaustion or emotional turmoil in silence rather than let anyone see her falter. She never asks for help, never admits she’s wrong and never lets anyone see her cry. This makes her deeply isolated beneath the surface, with no practice in accepting comfort or letting others in. Rancous - Murkykit is exceptionally talented in her own right, but the skills of other cats that surpass her own, and the attention that they draw, she believes it should be hers. She cannot stand to share the spotlight with another kit, and the knowledge that there are cats better than her burns. This jealousy is her most closely guarded secret, she refuses to admit she feels inferior in any way, such would be undermining the mask she so diligently presents to the world. iii. Future Gender/Pronouns + Sexuality Murkykit will experiment with her pronouns, alternating between she/her and she/they. Eventually deciding to remain as a cisgender female. Murkykit will often dream about romantic relationships and will experiment with her crushes, etc in her late apprenticeship and early warriorhood. She will develop an attraction to cats of all genders, but her interest in toms is especially fleeting. She prefers cats who identify as she-cats or nonbinary, although the occasional tom may catch her eye briefly, though she would quickly lose interest. iv. Yes! I've had plenty of characters in the past. However, if I am lucky to win this kit, they will be my first generations character!
v. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain’s executive functions, the mental skills that help with planning, organization, focus, impulse control and emotional regulation (fun fact: I actually got diagnosed last week TwT). Murkykit presents with inattentive-type ADHD with internalized symptoms, developing heavy masking behaviors to hide her struggles and fit in socially. She often appears as a natural leader, but struggles with flexibility and displays perfectionist behaviors. She also has a strong RSD reaction - common in ADHD, RSD is an intense emotional reaction to perceived criticism, rejection or failure. She struggles to accept defeat or failure because of her high amounts of internalized distress due to RSD. vi. Activity Level - I would say my activity level is a solid 7. I'm not active all the time due to my life outside scratch, but I make time for check-ins daily and post fairly often. vii. Trivia! - Murkykit takes great pride in her appearance. She spends an obsessive amount of time grooming her luscious pelt. - Murkykit despises her name. She resents the word "murky", seeing it as kind of ugly. She intends to be deeply involved in choosing her warrior name, often spending hours brainstorming them - She prefers the /best/ parts of fresh kill.
