Click 'Random Seed' to generate a random world or click 'Enter Seed' to enter one of your choice. If you like a particular world, you can make a note of the seed, biome, steepness and sea level settings to reproduce the same world. *Scroll to bottom for more info on seeds*↓ Modify the settings to alter the existing chunk, change time of day/night, or switch to a different biome. Click 'Hide settings' to get them out of the way. Mute the music by clicking the sound icon if you just want to hear the ambience of the biome Time adjusts the time in the day/night cycle of the game. This is initially set to your time zone when you click the flag. MORE ABOUT SEEDS: A seed is a number that determines exactly how the world will be generated. So, given the same seed, the same world will be generated. Though please note that the seed does NOT effect the steepness, biome and sea level - these are independent parameters. So the seed determines the base structure of the world including ore and plant placement, but this can be displayed differently based on the biome and steepness settings you choose.
This is an improvement upon my previous minecraft terrain generator (see profile), including better graphics, day/night lighting, multiple biomes, customisable parameters, and even determinstic terrain generation Music composed by me. Biome ambience sourced from Pixabay. I was inspired by this video on how Minecraft terrain generation works, and implemented some of the concepts (albeit simplified): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSa5O6knuwI I also took inspiration from this Minecraft terrain generator by @AchillesX, though no code was taken: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/17010842/ Update Log: v2.1 - Made the terrain generation deterministic with seeds instead of random v2.2 - Made the terrain generation a little smoother and more convincing
