going to actually draw and think of an idea later. 3/23/26 - IDEA TIME. art order - logo - carvern w/ stones - stones and moss + cavern - lake -lake w/ cat - entrance sketch The Drowned cavern. ----------------------------------- Far beneath the forest lies a hidden cavern, known only in whispers and old stories. Some cats believe it was carved by ancient waters. Others say it was shaped by StarClan themselves. The entrance is a narrow, shadow-choked crack in the dirt, leading down into still, heavy air. The deeper a cat travels, the more sound seems to fade—until even pawsteps feel distant. At the bottom, the tunnel opens into a vast underground hollow. The walls are smooth and silky, formed of impossibly black stone that seems to swallow light. Sharp white streaks cut through it like frozen lightning, faintly gleaming when touched by moonlight. Despite the cavern’s size, nothing echoes. Every sound—voices, movement, even breath—is softened and muted, as if the cave itself is silencing it. The ground is covered in thick, ancient moss, damp and soft underpaw. In places, it gives off a faint glow beneath the moon, casting a dim, ghostlike light across the floor. A constant, quiet dripping echoes from above—not loud, but ever-present, like time slowly passing. At the center lies a small, drowned lake. Its surface is perfectly still, black and mirror-like. High above, a jagged hole in the cave reveals the sky. Broken rock edges slice through the moonlight, causing its reflection in the water to appear shattered—like a broken silver disk floating in darkness. The air near the lake is always colder. Some cats claim that if you stare too long into its surface, your reflection won’t match your movements—or won’t be there at all. Behind the lake stand four stones. Three are tall and equal, worn smooth by countless seasons. These are where the leaders sit, each at the same height, showing that no Clan stands above another. Beside them is a fourth stone—smaller, worn down, and covered in soft, pale moss. It represents a lost Clan, long gone and never spoken of. No cat touches it, but none ignore it either. The lake itself is a sign of StarClan’s will. When the Clans are at peace, it remains full and perfectly still. But when there is conflict or imbalance, the water begins to recede, slowly revealing slick black stone beneath. At its lowest, the lake becomes little more than a dark pool. When harmony returns, the water rises again—silently, impossibly—until it is whole. Gatherings here are quiet and tense. Cats move like shadows across the moss, their voices hushed not by choice, but by the cave itself. Even arguments feel restrained, as though the cavern refuses to let them grow. Above, the broken moon watches. Below, the lake listens. ---- non descrptive/opt ideas the cave can filter out lies to starclans will. truth and important stuff will come out as louder moss grows thicker where important stuff happens moss glows very very very faintly where cats died cats on the edge of death could see their death in the lake. the last, lost clan stone could sometimes have pawstpes around it i feel like its bit too supernatrual, but lets see where this goes.
