Minor injury Minor injuries can heal over time on their own, but without medical help this can lead to new effects: ・Infection, which won't heal on it's own ・Festering, which has a death chance ・If it heals on its own without infection or festering, there is still a 50% chance of scarring ・Healing attempts on a minor injury have a base chance of 60% success. ・The medicine cat healing you adds 1% per healing apt they have. ・Ex: if Silverpaw had 10 healing apt, there is a 70% chance you are healed. This means a very skilled medicine cat with 40+ apt guarantees you are healed. ・After 3 successful healing attempts it is rolled if it's fully healed. 75% success chance, 25% fail chance. ・If it doesn't heal then you must wait another 3 successful attempts to roll again ・Minors have only a 20% chance of scarring if healed properly by the Medicine Cat. 2. Major Injury Majors do NOT heal by themselves and if no healing attempts are made after a few updates, this can lead to a 50/50 death chance every update ・Infection on a Major unlike it’s Minor Counterpart has a Death chance as well! ・Major Injuries have a 40% base chance of successful healing ・The proficiency rules are the same for healing here, with 1% per apt. ・Like their minor counterparts it is rolled to see if it fully heals or not, but this time it takes 5 successful attempts, and the chance is a bit lower, 60/40 instead of 75/25. ・If you fail the roll and it does not fully heal you need to do another 5 healing attempts. ・Majors have a larger chance of scarring: 40% if healed properly 3. Infection ・A wound that isn't given attention has a chance of getting infected ・This chance increase by 20% every update, so the first week of having a wound is 0%, next is 20%, etc. ・Infection also decreases a chance of a wound having a successful healing attempt by 5% more each week. Ex: A wound is infected for two weeks. Originally there was a 60% chance of it healing due to medic apt. Now there is a 50% chance of healing. ・If an infected wound is healed there is a 60% chance of scarring ・When it reaches 100% chance of infection it will start to fester... (see below) 4. Festering ・If a wound reaches 100% chance of infection after no healing attempts or the wound has been infected for 5 updates, it will start to... FESTER (dundunDUN) ・This decreases of a successful healing attempt by 10 with the add on of the previous infection. Festering has a chance to kill your character if not treated. This chance increases more slowly with only 5% added on per week 5.
