Chapter 23 Two moons had passed sense Thornheart had died and knew kits had been welcomed into the clan. Ashkit, Thornkit and Sunnykit were welcomed into the clan. Silversong was so proud of her three kits and Violetpool was with her in the nursery. Stoneclaw had become Brightpaws mentor. Brightpaw turned into a great Warrior and her knew name was Brightleaf her siblings were Berryfall and Brambleheart. Silversong was very happy when Coalpelt had gotten his knew name. Lilystem was very kind and Falconswoop was a very strong cat. Sandfur was in the nursery as well with Thistletail as her mate. Lionstep had visited as often as he could and he was even there when his kits opened there eyes. Silversong got up and her kits mewling was very loud. Lionstep was on a hunting patrol. He had been trying to distract himself from his brothers absence. Silversong had sympathy for him and she tried her best to keep the word thornheart out of any conversation so that her mate would not hear it. Silversong had let Lionstep choose the name for the ginger tom and Lionstep immediately said Thornkit. "Make those kits quiet down will ya? Sandfur had become very grouchy and Violetpool was very tired all the time. Just then Dawnfur came into the nursery."Hi Violetpool."Violetpool lifted her head and stretched."Hello Dawnfur, what brings you hear?"You actually. Silversong was napping when she heard a small whimper from Violetpools nest. Dawnfur had said that she should rest and to tell her if any pain came. Silversong sat up and saw that violetpool was small in her nest. She was trying not to wail. "Are you ok Violetpool? The She cat almost wailed."I think the kits are comeing. Sandfur was already getting up I will go get Dawnfur and I will tell Frogleap to go get a stick. Sandfur was out of the den in a minute. A few moments later Dawnfur burst into the nursery with raspberry leaves."Silversong help her breath you have done it before with Foxclaw. Silversong took her position and began to talk to her. Silversong kept pushing bad thoughts out of her mind. Violetpool let out a gasp."Are they coming? Silversong was breathing calmly but her heart was pounding. Violetpool let out and agonized wail and a wet bundle landed on the moss. Dawnfur flung it at Silversong. Silversong was glad that she had told Lionstep to watch the kits when Violetpool had started her kitting. Sandfur ran in and dropped the wet moss at Violetpools feet. Violetpool lapped at it and then gasped as another wet bundle landed on the moss. Silversong had finished licking the kit and put it at Violetpools belly by the second one. Violetpool gave one last heave and a loud wail came from the poor she cat. Dawnfur looked frightened but calm. "Violetpool this kit is stuck and I need to turn it. Silversong began to feel sick with worry. After a long few minutes another wet bundle landed on the moss. "Silver song let out one big sigh. Violetpool looked really tired but Silversong was just happy that everything had turned out well in the end.
