So, instead of being rude to interrupt him, Sparrowstar waits until he’s done. Sitting down, she focuses on trying to stare Fernstar down. After some time, Fernstar stops. i/Finally. Now I can speak!/i “Would you like to hear the prophecy? I’ll give it to… either the medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice about to be a medicine cat. Maybe the-” Fernstar’s voice then interrupts Sparrowstar’s, a fierce, sharp yowl that dares you to respond back. “Leave me alone! Just do whatever you want! I don’t want to be the cat who pets the ruins of the clan, and cries. Who cries because they tried to save it, and failed.” i/What’s wrong with him? I won’t cry. I will save FernClan, and it won’t be destroyed!/i With that, Fernstar walks away, huffing as he exits toward his favorite spot, the ferns by the lake. Sparrowstar doesn’t follow. Instead, she looks into the pool of water, where the dreams of cats float like bubbles. She reaches out and grabs the medicine cat apprentice’s one.
