CONTROLS: 1: Roar 2: Tendril Attack 3: Acid Sap STATS: Height: 100m (Flower Beast), 130m (Plant Beast) Weight: 90,000 metric tonnes (Flower Beast), 189,000 metric tonnes (Plant Beast) LORE: In 1984, after Godzilla's attack on Ginza, Dr. Shiragami, an expert in genetic engineering, was employed by the C.K.D.F. to study samples of the beast's cells in order to uncover the secret behind his strength, expose any potential weaknesses and possible uses. Shiragami's discovery was critical in understanding Godzilla; the element that granted Godzilla his super-enhanced cellular regeneration, dubbed, 'Organiser G1' had dozens of possibilities: drought resistance crops, regrowing damaged tissue. However Shiragami had an ulterior motive behind the facade of his will for the betterment of mankind; he wanted a sample of the cells for himself, in order to make the last remnants of his daughter, Erika who'd been killed during Godzilla's attack in 1984, immortal. He had previously infused her DNA into that of a rose bush in a desperate attempt to preserve her soul, but after a series of devastating earthquakes, only a single rose remained. Within days, the once seemingly ordinary rose mutated into an unnatural abomination. Two spies of the rival corporation Bio-Major, who sought to claim Shiragami's research for themselves, broke into the doctor's laboratory at night. Their mauled corpses were found in the morning, although no sign of the beast. Several days later, the creature, now dubbed 'Biollante' re-emerged in Lake Ashi, now in a rose-like form and began crying out in confusion. These calls attracted Godzilla, who changed course from his previous destination of Tokyo to Hakone. The distressed Biollante attacked Godzilla prompting the King of the Monsters to retaliate, setting her ablaze with his atomic breath, forcing Biollante to transform into spores and escape. Continuing his path of destruction, Godzilla made his way to the Tsuruga nuclear power plant where he fed on the reactor, before returning to the sea, only to resurface in Wakasa Bay. The CKDF scrambled their forces and quickly set up a barricade in order to prevent Godzilla advancing inland but were quickly destroyed by Biollante, who'd mutated into a significantly larger and stronger form, believed to be the result of the cellular abnormalities caused by absorbing radiation from Godzilla's atomic breath. Biollante's acid sap proved incredibly effective against Godzilla, who sustained severe burns faster than he could heal from. Meanwhile, Biollante's Organiser G1 count was over 140% that of Godzilla's own, granting her even superior regeneration. Eventually, after hours of being locked in a fierce struggle with neither side willing to back down, it seemed Biollante's greater healing abilities allowed her to slowly gain an edge over Godzilla. In a horrific fashion, Biollante unhinged her gigantic maw and attempted to swallow Godzilla whole. In response, the King of the Monsters unleashed a devastating nuclear pulse, almost completely obliterating the Plant Beast entirely. Biollante was forced to once again retreat by transforming into spores, never to be seen again, whilst Godzilla, having exhausted his nuclear energy, collapsed from his injuries. The general populace was kept in the dark about Biollante's true origin, with the C.K.D.F covering it up claiming she was just another wild kaiju. But we know the truth. After the battle, Shiragami disappeared. Some claim he was assassinated by Bio-Major spies but we believe that the C.K.D.F. held him in custody so they could exploit his knowledge about genetic engineering and produce a kaiju of their own. Rumor has it that, the C.K.D.F. still possesses a sample of Biollante's spores and has been using it for experimentation purposes to this day.
Toho Btw, sorry for the bad animations. The tendrils came out more goofy than threatening lol. This design is mostly the same as the original but also features four 'legs', more Godzilla-like dorsal plates and a few extra spikes. I additionally made her dorsals glow to be more consistent with Godzilla himself. I finished this vector over a month ago but I was struggling to find a way to change the story so it fits with my already established canon.
