Ch.6 Tomorrow would be a big day: Percy and Nico would return to camp. Mr. D, the camp director, allowed Nico to stay at camp on the condition that he wear a restraint for his "biting problem". Percy sat on the couch next to his mom. "Percy," she said, "have you seen your brother?" Percy shook his head. "I'll check the bedroom," he said, walking to the room. He opened the door, and there was a huge bundle of blankets on the bed. He sat down. "Nico?" he asked,"you under there, buddy?" The blankets moved. Nico dislodged himself from the bundle. He had been crying. Percy wrapped his arms around the little demon and pulled him close. "What's wrong?" he asked him. "I don't wanna go back," Nico said tearfully, "they hate me there." He was right, sadly. The other campers, even Percy's girlfriend, Annabeth, thought Nico was a monster. Evil. Savage. But no matter what Percy told them, he couldn't change their minds. "It's okay, buddy," Percy said, running his fingers through Nico's hair, "You'll always have me." Nico buried his face in Percy's shoulder. "I love you, Bubba," he sobbed quietly. Percy held him a little tighter. "I love you too, little bro."
Ch.7 As the boys arrived at camp, Percy could tell Nico was scared. He reached down and took his hand. "It's okay, bud." Nico smiled. They made their way to the camp. Once they got down, Nico went to the Big House to talk with Mr. D about the restraints he needed. Percy went to Cabin 3. Soon, Nico walked into the cabin with the restraints: a piece of plastic and metal held in his mouth, attached to some straps with a clip that allowed anyone other than Nico to take it off. If he tried, it would instantly heat up and burn his fingers. The little demon looked sad. Percy hugged him. "We can work on your biting problem together," he said. Nico nodded. He couldn't talk, but Percy always understood him. They heard the horn sound for lunch. The two made their way to the dining pavilion and sat down. Percy unclipped the restraints so Nico could eat. After lunch, they returned to the cabin. Luckily, the young demon only had to wear the restraints, or as Percy referred to it, "muzzle", when he left the cabin. Nico sat on the floor, staring up at Percy. "What is it, bud?" he asked. "I'm hungry," Nico said. Percy kneeled down to be on his brother's level. "You just ate." "Please?" Nico asked. "No, buddy," Percy said. Nico crawled into Percy's lap and gave him his best puppy-dog eyes. "Pretty please, Bubba?" Percy smiled. "All right," he said as he ruffled Nico's hair, "I can't say no to that face." Nico giggled. Percy rummaged through his bag and produced a blue cookie. With the treat in his mouth, Nico began to dig through his own bag and pulled out Stripy the stuffed tiger. He finished his cookie and crawled into bed. Soon, he began to snore. Percy kissed his brother's forehead and whispered, "Sleep tight, buddy."
