(WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!! mentions of abuse and other. if you or anyone you know is in distress, please talk to someone and seek help. you’re loved. you’re not alone <3) recently, i’ve been seeing A LOT of hate on scratch. so much so that it’s sickening. i’m seeing too many people get comfortable with telling people to “end it all” and that their lives are worthless. this isn’t ok! i’ve seen people argue and come to that conclusion for something as silly as a fandom! i’ve faced abuse for years, and the main thing i’ve seen people do is dehumanization. people will think that you’re an /other/, so that they feel less guilt in hurting you. please, understand that everyone behind the screen is a human with emotions, just like you. just because they disagree with you or have a different religious belief doesn’t mean that they’re big googly eye aliens who have come to take over earth. they’re just people. and people have feelings. i’ve been told i should end it all. i’ve been told that they hope i get s—ually hurt i’ve witnessed how, when people “end it all,” it affects lives, including family members i’ve seen how s—ual abuse affects lives, including friends. and these are SERIOUS things, so why are we giving these comments out like candy? we need to stop this. so please, before you send out that comment, before you post that project, please ask yourself.. “is this only meant to be hurtful?” “if i received this comment, would i feel sad? upset? angry?” it’s OK to disagree with someone! it’s OK to be mad at someone! but talk it through in a civil manner, be respectful, please. it could change a life <3 (sorry if this sounded more rantish ^^”) (edit: this is getting much more popular now so i’m gonna leave this as a side note: if i don't reply to a comment just know its not because i don’t care. sometimes, i don’t know how to respond to things [especially if it’s more on a serious note] and i’m not the best motivational speaker. however, i DO want to let you know that you’re not alone in this fight (/pos). there are so many people who are battling this alongside you (/pos). we’re in this together :]) If ur doing it stop it!
